Boss Man (Dave)
“Boss Man”Meet Dave, our Boss Man and the heart behind “Flowers By Dave”! With decades of experience in the flower industry, he knows everything there is to know about blooms — from growing flowers on the farm to crafting stunning bouquets and running a florist business. But ask him for a tip, and you might get his classic advice: “Don’t eat yellow snow.”
Dave works closely with Boss Lady to keep the business running smoothly, though he occasionally jumps in to create a special flower bunch or arrangement himself. His favourite colour is green, and he celebrates his birthday on 4th January. Outside of work, Dave enjoys gardening (naturally!) and has a quirky passion for keeping a huge collection of fish — sometimes even growing plants alongside them in the tanks!
Boss Lady (Kylie)
“Boss Lady”Last, but absolutely not least… meet Boss Lady! She’s around even more than Dave since he’s off at the market most days. Boss Lady is our DJ, our snack supplier, and the queen of hilarious, blunt comments that keep us all laughing. She keeps this place running like clockwork — you definitely don’t want to mess with her!
Her favourite colour is pink, and I’m convinced that if she could, she’d paint everything in every shade of pink. She celebrates her birthday on 23rd October, adores her family and all her doggos, and her favourite blooms are sunflowers. When she’s not keeping us in line, she’s busy with her impressive LEGO hobby — building, collecting, and creating some seriously cool sets!
King Coby
“Little Boss Man”Meet Little Mr Coby, the son of Boss Lady and Boss Man — of course he had to be included! He loves helping out with the blooms during school holidays, whether it’s making tiny flower arrangements or even splashing around in the giant buckets we use for flowers. He keeps us laughing, brightens everyone’s day, and is well known by all at the shed.
Coby is a big fan of Pokémon, Roblox, LEGO, and so much more. He celebrates his birthday on 7th February, and at school he’s active in swimming and rugby — our little champ! His favourite colour? Cyan… not just blue, CYAN! When he’s not at the shed or at school, he enjoys watching YouTube, playing Roblox, fishing with his dad, or building LEGO creations with his mom.
Joanette
“Media & more”Meet Joanette! She’s the mastermind behind our social media, making sure everyone knows about The Flower Shed. She also keeps things running behind the scenes, handling administrative tasks and helping Boss Lady wherever needed — she and Boss Lady love building fun projects for little Coby!
As Tony’s co-worker, she helps keep the cold rooms organised and tries to keep the flowers in order — no small feat with the pace we work at! Her favourite colour is pastel yellow… though, truth be told, it changes quite often. Joanette celebrates her birthday on 11th August, and in her free time she enjoys nature walks, photography, a bit of gaming and tending to her pot plants (still a work in progress!).
Patrick
“Orders & Clients”Meet Patrick! Patrick is always one step ahead — the true man with a plan! He expertly manages all orders, works closely with our clients, and leads our talented flower maestros to ensure every arrangement is nothing short of perfect.
He celebrates his birthday on 6th June, has a soft spot for olive green, and absolutely loves gerberas. When he’s not keeping everything running smoothly, you’ll likely find him enjoying a good football match or relaxing with his favourite music.
Rose
“Flowers & Clients”Meet Rose. Rose is one of our talented flower maestros and a true gem on our team! She works alongside Patrick, assisting clients and ensuring every order is captured accurately and efficiently.
She is the creative hands behind most of our stunning Grand Rose Bouquets — her secret? She has perfected the art of achieving that beautifully full, rounded finish that makes each bouquet unforgettable.
Rose adores the colour pink and celebrates her birthday on 28th February. A proud mom of one and a loving grandmother to three precious grandchildren, her heart belongs to her family. When she’s not creating floral magic, she enjoys spending quality time with her loved ones, playing with her grandchildren, attending church, and keeping her home neat and beautifully organised.
Anton (AKA Tony)
“Flower Maestro”Meet Anton, better known to everyone as Tony — one of our talented flower maestro! Tony not only helps ensure our cold room runs smoothly, but also keeps track of all the stock coming in and going out. He takes his work seriously, loving every part of it, and approaches every task with dedication and precision. Whatever responsibility is given to Tony, he completes it to the highest standard.
Tony celebrates his birthday on 28th May. His favourite flower is the rose, and he adores the colour royal blue. Outside of work, he’s passionate about farming — with a natural green thumb, he loves planting flowers and vegetables, nurturing them to grow strong and healthy.
Patio
“Flowers & Clients”Meet Paito! Fun fact: he’s Tony’s brother. Paito is our go-to person for unique and standout arrangements — the kind that really make an impression. He has a natural talent for creating bouquets and floral designs that are truly special and one of a kind. Once his creativity kicks in, he can surprise you every time!
Paito celebrates his birthday on 1st February. His favourite colour is pink — and he couldn’t care less about the playful teasing from the other male maestros — and his favourite flowers are orchids. In his free time, Paito enjoys relaxing in front of the telly, whether it’s watching shows or catching a football match, live or on screen.
Jeffrey
“Flowers & Clients”Meet Jeffrey, Tony’s son — truly a family with blooms in their bloodline! Jeffrey is one of our dedicated flower maestros. He’s hard-working and always willing to go the extra mile, especially when things at the shed get hectic, taking on extra job cards without hesitation.
Jeffrey works quickly, though getting his attention can be a challenge when he’s in the zone with his earphones blasting — you practically have to tap him on the shoulder! His favourite colour is brown, he celebrates his birthday on 6th June, and his favourite pastime is pretty obvious: listening to music at full blast.
Elias
“Driver & Deliveries”Meet Elias, our driver — the ultimate deliverer of joy! Fun fact: he actually learned to drive from Dave (aka Mr Bossman) when he first started working with the blooms, years ago. Elias is truly one of a kind. You never have to guess what he’s thinking or feeling — his face is an open book, and if that’s not enough, his mouth will tell you before you even ask! He has a hilarious catchphrase, “Ek Huil” (which means “I’m crying” in English), often heard when he needs funds for business expenses.
Elias is funny, full of personality, and a natural with clients. He’s punctual, efficient, and always makes it his mission to ensure clients are happy with his service. He celebrates his birthday on 26th October, loves the colour pink, and is a big fan of sunflowers. His hobbies include, exploring new places, going on adventures and spending time in nature.
